Woo Hoo!! Got he shocks done. Took far to long to work it out but they're done. Here's a pic.

I followed this tutorial, http://www.thepartsbox.com/BB/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=250 but adapted it to suit sprintcar shocks. I can take the rams out to paint the bodies if need be and I can adjust them for length. To make the rod end on the ram I used 1/16 alloy tube. Also there is 1/16 inside the larger diameter body. I used stainless rod for the ram.

Hi,these are the wheels I'm using on this build. They are a reasonable representation of the wheels on the real car. You would use these on the Valvoline/Kinser release of this kit as well. Available in resin from The Parts Box.

Heres some bits and pieces I'm using. Some of these are resin like the wheels.

Heres some more progress pics. I've done all the mounts for the shocks with brass wire.

Made top wing mounts so I could paint the mount as a separate part. You can see the mount for the wing slider in this pic as well.

This is the rear top wing mount and the scratch built hydraulic ram that is the wing slider.

This is going to be really nice when it is finished. Like all the custom fab work you have done. Wish I had thought about making a slider for the one I'm almost finished with.

Nice work, i was thinking of that slider to. What best to cut aluminum rod with? and could you tell me the sizes you used for the slide as well as the shocks.
