Well stumbled across this site while doing some research for upcoming projects. I really like the models but thought I'd share some vintage RC cars I've wanted since I was a kid and finally got. In the early 90's, a canadian named Gary Kendrick built some handbuilt dirt oval cars. Alan Lane owned a hobby shop in Fulton, NY and became a dealer. He eventually received the rights and built his own chassis. Fast forward to 2008 and I was able to pick up Alan's stuff. First of all, this is what an old friend sold me...a lot of stuff.
Since this is a Sprint Car site, I'll post mainly the sprints. Here is an Alan Lane "KRP" Sprint Car with a Slamming Sammy body on it.
This was a Kendrick Racing Products (KRP) car.
This is a KRP EDM. I'm not feeling the downtubes and have started trying to build my own.
Cars do have a solid rear axle. Links, jacobs ladder, torsion bars, etc.
Solid front axles too.
Here's a new body on the previous EDM built by me.
The Lane car with a different body. Don't worry, I'm saving the Swindle body.
I'm starting on another EDM. Here's an old Lane body on it for looks.
Well that's that I guess....once I settle in the new house, I'm going to get back on the projects and try to turn a couple more out. I look forward to checking out the site and seeing some dirt oval cars. I love anything related to dirt oval. Later.
Some vintage dirt cars.
