I use to race slot cars as young lad and picked a lot of my soldering skills up way back then, which has helped me a lot now with these builds, Michael (dirtmodeler) has some great soldering tips and tricks on his forum site! I found these on google search as well which may help you along

I use a good Weller butane soldering torch and a nice silver solder as well as using a flux paste rather than a flux liquid! I find the paste works a lot better.
Notching the tube or rod I find very important to fit and finish as well ;)

Thanks Geoff, going to be sorry to see this chassis go to it's new owner in the US as it is turning out really nice.... going to have separation anxiety when it goes I think :lol:

Thanks buddy, sure hope he is :lol: as soon as this is done and packed off it is back to the Saldana car and the 358 dirt modified :)

Just did all the cockpit tin work and put the rest of the cage on.... was waiting for the fuel cell and mounts to finish it Joe, they have now arrived and getting the final bits and pieces done now ;)
