That is really looking GREAT!! I've got some 1/8th scale stuff from shapeways. Good stuff. I didn't know they were doing this chassis also. I'm going to have to check it out. Thanks for posting this wip...Looking forward to the next update..

I finally get around to getting pictures for an update on this build and Stewart breaks his leg!! Hopefully, that's not a sign of how the rest of this car goes together!! :o :D

One of my biggest obstacles was the headers. I wanted to get them out of the way, so I could get the engine installed and plumbed. I heated up some brass rod until it was red hot, then cooled it off. I was then able to bend the rod to the desired shape. It took me two long nights to get them all together, and I'm not 100% happy with the finished product, but they're not too bad for my first try.

The engine was then installed and plumbed with Pro Tech braided line and Detail Master fittings. I scratch built the oil filter and the oil tank is a Dirt Modeler resin piece. I made the fuel filter with aluminum tubing. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to the decking before long!!

I was able to get some time to work on this the past month and finally got it finished! I've always wanted to build a replica of a dirt late model and thanks to Dirt Modeler, Custom Dirt Cars, and Scale Racing Authentics I was able to.
