Resto projects

Post by jlstew25 »

Not exactly sprinters, but they are dirt cars. This is part of a collection that was given to me by Terry Rodgers who is the daughter of the man that drove this car back in the '60's, Melvin Rodgers. I met her at a racer reunion we had in OKC and she asked if I would be interested in a box of old model parts. Yes, it was a box of broken models, but after sorting through it all, there's 4 complete cars. These were given to the driver back in the '60's from fans at the races. The bodies are all hand lettered, very cool. Anyway, I've finished these two (trailer was part of the collection, too) and have two to go.

Great stuff, :) I'm after a few of those 32 body's, not the vicky, the sedan/tudor to replicate some of the Aussie hot rods (34's though) from the 60's - 90's that my brother raced. They seem to be hard to find..... I've never seen a 34 so I dont think they have been made.
Great to see that you have restored them :)
