Hi everyone

Post by jcb8116 »

My name is Jonathan and I'm a military and sci fi modeler that's recently branched out into the competition cars category. One day i just thought about building something different and leave my comfort zone for a bit. My first car model since i was a kid, the Fireball 57 Ford from Revell turned out to be a disaster, BUT i found something really cool at the store yesterday, a Sprint Car! Now im not a racing fan at all but i do like the cars alot and im having trouble trying to build them. This Bass Pro Pro Shops sprint car is really cool, and im thinking i might get more because they're so different from NASCAR for example. I think ive found the right place to start because i assume this group is like others in the modeling community where people can ask questions about painting etc and make new friends. Now to get started stripping that ugly chrome Lol

G'day and welcome mate. if its a newer kit its not even chrome its some lousy matt alloy colour plating, oven cleaner will get it of and alclad chrome is the best stuff to make it look nice and shiny if you want a chrome finish
