web searching for reference pics

Can anyone tell me that when I search for "Haudenschild" on Fotki's search engine, I get 0 results? But if I go directly to Clay Kemps page, He's got haudenschild listed as one of his folders.

Looking for Haudenschilds WHITE Coors Extra Gold car. What little info I have is that the white car could have been the color for the early march Cailifornia(mini gold cup) swing, Tulsa, or Dallas.
Makes no differnce to me which location. Hopefully pics of each side and maybe a top wing top.

thanks robert

I believe the white car only appearewd in 1989. I do show Keith Kaufman in the white car at the end of the year.

thanks, robert

Try fishers sprintcar pictorial, the retro page. Steve Hardin is another good one. Search ebay for magazines that have pics. I bought some some time ago to help me with Jacs Pennzoil car. The seller checked his mags and I bought the ones he said had the stuff I needed in.

I've got Fishers and Hardins. Thanks for the leads anyhow. I've found that searching the "photo hosting" sites will sometimes turn up a gem or two. But like I said in my original post, I dont understand their search functions. Sometimes zero results, when I know darn well that pics are there.
Has anyone ever come up with a master list of reference sites?
thanks robert

Hi Angry Dawg, I've experienced the same problems too.
'Fraid I don't have a solution, except to try other (more general) searches.
As you have discovered, you will often find good pics on the photo hosting sites - even if your original search never took you there!
