Re: USAC/CRA sprinter WIP

Whew, I gotta tell ya working on this model is very tedious. Everything is so tiny, especially compared to the 1:24th nascar cup, nationwide & busch models I've been working on the last 3 years. Man, just gotta go slow and easy, I mean EASY. Very small glue areas that have to be cleaned of paint res...

Re: USAC/CRA sprinter WIP 6-24-09

Always said I'd rather be lucky than good. Looking around in the shed today for some green paint I ran across a piece of metal screen. Looking at it I said to myself, Self............that look about the right size scale wise for a rock screen for the Rip Williams sprinter. What do ya think? http://i...

Re: Dirt Late Model

I have to echo what 1320wayne said, took the words right out of my mouth.
Wow, what an awesome build. The detail is superb and those colors are amazing. This one really jumps out at you.
Awesome Modeling.

Got the sprint car parts I ordered from the Parts Box and have all chrome removed from the parts now. Brake fluid worked well too. First off I'd like you to check this pic out. Last Sat night the USAC/CRA sprinters went north to Petaluma, CA., for a race. A local photographer got this shot of Rip Wi...

Re: USAC/CRA sprinter WIP

Well, back after it again. Added a piece of felt to the back of the seat as per the ref pic of the seat. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b68/Mach2Mickey/Ripper%203%20Sprint%20Car/seat1.jpg Working on the exhaust now, cutting the collector and clocking the end at a 10 deg off vertical so I can add ...

Re: USAC/CRA sprinter WIP

Since this is going to go to Rip Williams later in the year, I want to make it as accurate to the ref pic's I took in 2007. Notice there's no breathers on the valve covers, but a 180 deg tube with a breather on the end of it at the front of the engine; http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b68/Mach2Mick...
