Not sure Chris... have not looked into it fully and know nothing of Shapeways, did see this post though somewhere else and thought it was very interesting, I think Dwight is on this forum so perhaps he can shed some light on this ???

Vern the 1:1 cars use 1" bars, convert that to 1:24 scale and it works out roughly to .042, I normally use K&S piano wire roughly that size... polished up it looks awesome
