Sprint car models are available in 1/24 scale (Revell/Monogram) and 1/18. The 1/18 kits were produced originally by GMP, but are now produced by another company, maybe R&R. Airbrushing is definitely the way to go. The double action Paasche is a great airbrush, but if there is a Harbor Freight near you, you might want to start with their double action airbrush kit.
